Qualitas wins national healthcare award

We are over the moon to share that Qualitas scooped a prestigious national award for its innovative ‘Pathway to Partnership’ programme for new partners in GP practices.

Qualitas Consortium UK Ltd was named ‘HCP Education Programme/Provider of the Year at the 2022 General Practice Awards’ in London on Friday, 9 December 2022.

Pathway to Partnership was described by the judges as a “Development programme for GP Partners that blends academic rigour with examples of excellent practice and new ways of thinking. Featuring group study, coaching and intermediary projects, the programme has been designed to make an immediate positive difference.  All graduates are alumni and there is a growing super-cohort who can benefit from ongoing post-programme support. The longevity of sustainable and peer learning is embedded.”

The Programme is designed to enable new partners in GP practices to develop and focus on improving all aspects of patient services; from patient care, to improving access and reducing waiting times, particularly with a workforce that has been working flat out without rest since the start of the pandemic. Over 250 new partners from all over the country have participated and the results are starting to come through with surveys indicating improvements across the board.

The award follows a landmark year for Qualitas Consortium, with the training service provider continuing to grow following its decision to focus on supporting GP practices, in partnership with the NHS and with its own programmes. The training arm of Qualitas has continued to create new jobs and is currently hiring for business support positions and ‘Associates’ to deliver training in Primary Care and will also open an office in Lancashire in the New Year.

Qualitas Consortium has been led by CEO Steve Burrows, since 2018.

Burrows said:

“It is an honour and a privilege to work with and support so many GPs on their journey as partners. It’s truly a team effort and if anything, we hope through our programmes we can shine a light not only on the areas of concern but equally on the amazing work, fabulous innovations and dedication we see in all the practices we work with.

I am delighted that the Qualitas team has been recognised for our contribution. We are looking forward to building on our success into next year by expanding our offerings to support General Practices and the NHS, with more programmes and services in the pipeline, providing employment opportunities for local talent to make a difference on the national stage.”
